Arts in Public Health: Evidence and Opportunities

During May’s celebration of Mental Health Month, join the authors of Health Promotion Practices’ latest supplement, Arts in Public Health, to hear the latest evidence-based practices and frameworks to improve social and mental health outcomes. Authors share their research on the potential of arts in pain management, prevention and treatment of substance use disorders, and suicide prevention.

Learning Objectives

  1. Identify two art forms that can contribute to positive mental health outcomes.
  2. Identify at least one area needing further research of the role of arts in improving behavioral and mental health.
