Awards, Fellowships & Scholarships

SOPHE offers a robust awards, fellowship and scholarship program for health education and health promotion practitioners, students and faculty in more than 15 categories.

There are two cycles for award submissions – summer/fall (July through October) and winter/spring (February through June).

21st Century Health Education Practice Scholarships are given to practitioners to attend SOPHE’s Annual Conference in the spring.

Scholarships

Helen P. Cleary

The Helen P. Cleary Scholarship provides financial support to students enrolled in a health education related degree program to take the national Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®) examination. The exams are given in either the fall (September) or spring (April).

The application period is one week only.

The Helen P. Cleary Scholarship is a program of the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. and administered by SOPHE.
